See how force and motion work together!

    What you will need:

    ·      Index card

    ·      Coin

    ·      Drinking glass

    Directions:

Set the index card over the mouth of the glass.  Place the coin on top of the card, centered over the mouth of the glass.  With a fast motion,  flick the card forward with your finger.  What happened?  What did you notice?  What did you wonder?  Why did the coin fall in the cup?  What force was acting on it?
